Smartfleet, part of SmartTM, is expanding its fleet funding offering by onboarding Volkswagen Financial Services Australia (VWFS) as an external funding provider.

The addition of VWFS strengthens Smartfleet’s ability to deliver flexible, scalable solutions that meet the evolving needs of organisations across Australia.

“Expanding our funding model is an important progression of our fleet strategy, enabling Smartfleet to further support its clients with tailored solutions” said Group Executive for Fleet, Anthony Dijanosic.

“By complementing our existing offering with external funding capability, we can significantly scale fleet funding to existing and new clients, while maintaining our capital-light business model.”

“We’re proud to partner with Smartfleet to support their expanded fleet funding model,” said Director of Fleet at Volkswagen Financial Services Australia, Dean Stevanovski.

“This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to delivering scalable and flexible finance solutions that empower Australian organisations to optimise their fleet operations while advancing sustainable mobility goals.”

Smartfleet will continue to focus on delivering a seamless experience for clients, with the new funding option integrated into its established processes and supported by Smartfleet’s expertise in fleet management.

At 30 June 2025, Smartfleet provided clients with fleet services for 32,400 vehicles. This external funding arrangement is for Smart’s fleet business and is not changing our existing panel of novated leasing financiers.
