Smartgroup has today announced the appointment of Simon Haidar as Chief Customer Officer and a member of the Executive Leadership Team.

Simon will join from McMillan Shakespeare, where he has held senior leadership roles across sales, product, novated leasing and customer growth.

He brings deep sector experience, strong client relationships and a proven record leading commercial teams across salary packaging, novated leasing, fleet and employee benefits.

As Chief Customer Officer, Simon will lead Smartgroup’s customer and growth agenda. His focus will include growing Smartgroup’s client and customer base, strengthening sales and account management, increasing uptake across existing clients, and lifting the quality and consistency of customer experience.

Smartgroup Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Scott Wharton said Simon’s appointment aligns with the company’s strategy of growing its relationships with clients and customers through excellent services and products.
