Smartgroup has appointed Deon Ludick as Chief Product and Technology Officer and a member of the Executive Leadership Team, effective 7 September 2026.
The role supports Smartgroup’s strategy to build a more scalable platform and deliver greater value for clients and customers.
Deon joins Smartgroup from Greenstone Financial Services, where he is Chief Technology Officer. He previously held the role of Chief Product and Technology Officer at A2B Australia and has held senior technology and digital roles at Macquarie Group, Woolworths and Westpac.
Smartgroup Managing Director and CEO Scott Wharton said, "Smartgroup has built strong digital and technology foundations over the past five years."

Chief Information Officer Alfonzo Venturi will support Deon and the transition before departing Smartgroup.
