Giving back to those in need

Smartgroup is committed to positively contributing to the communities in which we live and operate. As part of this commitment, the Smartgroup Foundation was established in 2019 with an annual grant from Smartgroup Corporation Ltd to be directed to certain charities with Deductible-Gift-Recipient 1 (DGR-1) status.

While we recognise that there are thousands of incredibly worthy causes in our local community, nationally and internationally, the Smartgroup Foundation's focus is on Australian based projects that align with our Smartgroup Social Impact Framework, specifically within the following categories:

Natural Climate Solutions and decarbonisation technologies:

• Protection and restoration of animal habitats
• Protection and restoration of Australian & Indigenous Flora and Fauna
• Protection and restoration of marine ecosystems and marine life
• Education about climate solutions

Inclusive and equitable communities:

• Health, mental health and wellbeing
• Domestic Violence
• Advancement of Aboriginal and First Nations peoples
• Gender equality, including LGBTQIA+
• Advancement of refugee and other minority groups

Financial wellness and education:

• Career opportunities for disadvantaged individuals
• Financial wellbeing, such as counselling, education, food banks/parcels, clothing
