Salary packaging and novated leasing specialist, Smartgroup, is proud to announce the continuation of its partnership with Supercars champion Jamie Whincup for the fourth consecutive year, and the St George Queensland Reds for the second consecutive year.
“We’re delighted to be working with Jamie and the Reds again this year,” says Smartgroup Senior Executive Dave Adler, who was the driving force behind the re-signings. “Each of the two sponsorships have a specific meaning and purpose for our organisation- we choose partners very carefully - Jamie and the Reds are no exception.”
Seven-time & defending Supercar champion Whincup was recently named by The Daily Telegraph as Australia’s most dominant Australian athlete over the past decade. Whincup is a hard-working, down-to-earth sportsman who is always striving for improvement, and has great respect for his team and his competitors. “We couldn’t have found a better brand ambassador,“ says Adler. The association will continue to drive awareness of the Smartleasing brand.
The St George Queensland Rugby Union/QLD Reds continue to focus on youth in sport. “The team has satellite clubs around the state of Queensland,” explains Adler. “The Reds use their sport and profile to inject growth and energy into youth, indigenous and remote communities. We're really proud of the work they do off the pitch. They mean a lot to Queensland, and are more than just a rugby club.”
As a long-time provider of its services in Queensland to a number of not-for-profits, corporates and government departments such as the Department of Defence, Smartgroup is proud to see the Smartleasing brand on Whincup’s helmet and suit, and the Smartsalary brand on the Reds jerseys and around Suncorp stadium.
In addition to Smartsalary and Smartleasing, Smartgroup family member Selectus – a leading salary packaging provider in the private education sector – will also enjoy the association. And Autopia – a novated leasing specialist also under the Smartgroup banner – is dedicated to driving gender diversity, just like the Reds.
